Smith, G. (2021) Non-invasive impedance spectroscopy for single-vial PAT in biopharmaceutical freeze-drying. Podium presentation at Oxford Global Formulation and Delivery UK. September 21-23

This presentation introduces the technology known as through vial impedance spectroscopy (TVIS) with a description of the hardware and the polarization processes that can be studied before describing applications for temperature prediction, the in-vial characterization of phase behaviour, and the determination of the end of sublimation-drying in a single vial

The work was undertaken in collaboration with Dr Paul Matejtschuk from the National Institute of Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC, South Mimms) and co-authored by Pathum Wijesekara (De Montfort University PhD student).
